Your own lashes — lifted, curled, and defined
A lash lift gently curls your natural lashes from the base for an eye-opening, mascara-free look that lasts 6–8 weeks. Pair it with a tint for added depth, or add brow lamination for fluffy, brushed-up brows. Perfect if you want low maintenance with zero fills — and if another salon over-curled your lashes, we correct that too.
What a lash lift actually does
A lash lift is a perm for your own lashes. A gentle solution softens the bond in the lash, your artist sets each lash over a silicone shield to shape the curl, and a second solution locks it in. Nothing is added — no extensions, no weight, no fills. You leave with the lashes you already had, curled up and out so they stop pointing straight ahead and start opening your eye.
A tint takes it further: it darkens your lashes to the tips, including the fine, fair ones at the outer edge that normally disappear. Lift plus tint is what gives the mascara-without-mascara look.
Lash lift or eyelash extensions?
The honest answer depends on what your natural lashes already give you.
- Choose a lift if you have decent natural length and want the lowest-maintenance option there is. No fills, no aftercare routine beyond common sense, no adhesive. It costs less over a year than any extension set.
- Choose extensions if you want visible added length and density, or your natural lashes are short or sparse. A lift can only curl what is already there — it cannot add.
Not sure? Book the lift first. It is the lower-commitment option, it grows out on its own, and it tells you a lot about how much lash you actually want.
Over-curled lashes from another salon? We can fix that.
A lash lift left on too long, or set on too small a shield, produces lashes that curl back into the eyelid instead of opening the eye — sometimes described as a “crimp” or an L-shape rather than a curve. It usually looks worse in photos than in the mirror, and it makes mascara almost impossible to apply.
We offer a correction service ($40) that relaxes over-curled lashes back down to a natural shape. It is a common fix and nothing to feel awkward about — bring it in and we will assess whether to relax it now or let it grow out a little first.
Aftercare — the first two hours matter most
For the first two hours after your lift, keep lashes dry and untouched: no water, steam, sweat, oil-based products, mascara or lash curlers, and try not to sleep face-down. That short window is when the new shape sets.
After that it is genuinely low-maintenance. Handle your lashes gently, skip mechanical curlers entirely (you no longer need one), and avoid heavy rubbing. If you want mascara, choose a water-based or tubing formula rather than waterproof — oil-based removers soften the lift over time.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a lash lift and tint?
A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that curls and lifts your own natural lashes from the base — think of it as a perm for your lashes. A tint darkens them for a mascara-like effect. Together they give a wide-eyed, low-maintenance look using only your natural lashes, with no extensions added.
How long does a lash lift last?
Typically 6–8 weeks, fading gradually as your natural lashes shed and regrow. If you add a tint, the colour generally lasts about 3–4 weeks.
Lash lift or eyelash extensions — which should I choose?
A lash lift enhances your own lashes with zero fills and the lowest maintenance — lovely if you already have decent natural lash length. Extensions add noticeable length and volume and need a refill every 2–3 weeks. We’re happy to help you choose at your appointment.
Is a lash lift safe?
Yes, when it’s performed by a trained professional with proper products and timing. We protect your eyes throughout and never leave solutions on longer than recommended.
Can I wear mascara after a lash lift?
Yes, after the first 2 hours. Choose a water-based or tubing mascara rather than waterproof, since oil-based waterproof removers can soften the lift over time.
What’s the aftercare for a lash lift and tint?
For the first 2 hours, avoid water, steam, sweat, oil-based products, mascara and lash curlers, and try not to sleep face-down. After that, handle your lashes gently, skip mechanical curlers, and avoid heavy rubbing.
Can I reverse over-curled lashes from another salon?
Yes — we offer a correction service ($40) that relaxes lashes that were over-curled elsewhere back to a natural shape.
How long does the appointment take?
A lash lift takes about 45–60 minutes. Adding a tint doesn’t add much time.
How much is a lash lift at Beauty Time?
Lash Lift $69; Lash Lift & Tint $85; Brow Lamination $80; Brow Lamination & Tint $90; eyelash tint $25; eyebrow tint $17. Prices subject to change.
Will a lash lift work on short lashes?
A lift curls what you already have — it can’t add length. On very short lashes the effect is subtler. If you want visible length, extensions are the better choice, and we’ll tell you honestly which will suit you at your appointment.
